Peter Elliott
Director
Peter holds a degree in Geology and an MSc in Petroleum Geology. He has 25 years experience in the international oil and gas industry working in New Ventures and Business Development. He has recent experience of building oil company JVs in West Africa, including Guinea Bissau, Sao Tome & Principe, Senegal AGC, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Equatorial Guinea.
He has recent experience managing exploration contracts and work programmes, including frontier programmes in West Africa and works closely with African Oil and gas companies and service companies. Peter has a track record of advising large cap companies and small start-ups in identifying and securing suitable growth assets in Africa. Recognised as a specialist in Sub-Saharan Africa, he has completed deals with the likes of Oando (Sao Tome), Black Star (Guinea Bissau), Talisman (Sierra Leone) and Rocksource (AGC) Peter and team constantly research and report on Africa E&P activity, providing valuable insight to clients around the world and regularly speaking at major industry events.
Ian Bulley
Senior Associate, Subsurface
Mr. Bulley has over 35 years of exploration and development experience with major oil companies and independents in: Africa, Asia, the Middle East and the North Sea. A graduate of Reading University and Imperial College (MSc) Mr. Bulley was a key member of the Hardman Resources team that discovered the East Africa Rift oil province and contributed to the discovery of Mauritania’s first producible hydrocarbons. As Exploration Manager of Rialto Petroleum, he was responsible for exploration wells in Cote d'Ivoire and Ghana. Prior to joining PVE he was Principal Geologist with Cairn Energy. He is a Fellow of the Geological Society and a member of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain.
Madeleine Slatford
Senior Associate, Business Development & Subsurface
Madeleine has an accomplished track record in the E&P industry. With a degree in Geology from Imperial College and a Masters in Basin Evolution and Dynamics from Royal Holloway University of London, she joined IEDS / IHS in the 1990s, working on geological and scout reports for South Asia and other regions. Maddy joined Cairn Energy in 2004 as Consultant Geologist, and spent 13 years with Tullow Oil in Dublin, working on high impact exploration campaigns in South Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. Madeleine also has an active interest in the energy transition and the role of new energy sources in the global economy.
Duncan Rushworth
Senior Associate, Commercial & Business Development
Duncan is a Senior Associate with PVE Consulting, joining the company in late 2022. Previously, he was Vice President of Business Development of Africa-focused Svenska Petroleum Exploration AB, a role held since 2007. During his time with Svenska he managed exploration new ventures and portfolio management at the privately-owned E&P. He is a geologist by background and had previously worked with independent oil companies in a variety of UK North Sea and International technical roles. Duncan has also worked in a commercial advisory capacity, most notably with Deloitte where he specialized in transaction support and strategy development for International Oil Companies, National Oil Companies and Private Equity firms.
Duncan holds a Master of Law degree with Distinction in Petroleum Law and Policy from Dundee University. He also holds a MSc with Distinction in Sedimentology and a BSc in Geology from the University of London.
Sharan Dhami
Consultant
Sharan has 15 year’s experience in Investor relations, sustainability, capital markets, and strategic communications (including digital) in the Oil and Gas industry. Sharan has worked for Tullow Oil, Savannah Energy, Soco, Pharos Energy and United Oil and has a breadth of experience and knowledge of the capital markets and managing company reputation with investors and wider stakeholders across various geographies. She has set up the IR and ESG functions at Pharos Energy and United, and during her career has navigated periods of major challenges in the industry, company, and the shareholder base across premium listed FTSE and AIM companies. She has experience across IR, M&A transactions, ESG, equity raises, operational and reputational crises, Board changes, divestments, MAR compliance, ESG, company rebrands, names changes, website rebuilds and digital communications. Her regional experience spansthe UK, Israel, Africa and Asia. She is a committee member of the World Energy Council and a Board Trustee to the Charity Chaffinch. Sharan has a MSc Geology from Imperial College London, a BSc Geology from University of London and a BSc Economics from Bayes business school.
